About Bash

Bash began as a way to keep a baking dream alive. In the early days, the plan was simple: build something rooted in scratch-made food and creativity. Then something unexpected happened. A few events turned into many, fast, and Bash quickly became what people were actually asking for: a space to gather, celebrate, and be taken care of, without the chaos that usually comes with planning. What started as baking-first momentum became a venue and events business because the demand made the direction obvious.

 

Today, Bash is a modern-luxe event venue in downtown Des Moines designed for weddings, corporate gatherings, and celebrations that deserve more than a blank room and a long to-do list. Our space is built for strong flow, beautiful photos, and an experience that feels elevated but not untouchable. With the ability to host up to 300 seated guests and up to 350 for cocktail-style events, Bash is intentionally designed to feel energetic and full without feeling overwhelming. 

 

What makes Bash different is not just the space. It’s the way the experience is handled.

 

Bash is a full-service venue with in-house catering, desserts, and bar service, so your event stays cohesive and quality stays consistent. Our catering menus are built around made-from-scratch sides, refined crowd favorites, and elevated options that still feel approachable for real people, not just styled shoots.   

 

We also believe “included” should mean included. Your rental comes with tables, chairs, linens, basic AV, setup and teardown support, and a planning assistant for venue and day-of needs, so the experience feels turnkey instead of DIY-with-pretty-lighting. Vendors can access the space starting at 10:00am for setup, and we keep planning organized with a floor plan due two weeks prior. 

 

Bash is not a design firm, and we do not pretend to be. We will help execute approved table setups and support your vision, but we stay in our lane so your vendors can shine and your day runs smoothly. 

 

At the core, Bash is built on a simple standard: clients should leave feeling like nothing else could have been done. Not because everything was “perfect,” but because they felt seen, supported, and cared for by a team that solves problems first and worries about the post-mortem later.
